Dr Emeka Izuagba is a Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with sub-specialization in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Surgery. He is also well experienced in General Orthopaedics, Trauma and Soft tissue surgery.
He had his undergraduate training at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan where he received his MBBS Degree in 2000.
He completed his residency training in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos (NOHIL) and was awarded the Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons.
He has had various post fellowship trainings in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Surgery in Milan, Italy; India and the USA.
He was awarded a traveling fellowship by the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society (LLRS) to gain experience in 7 major Paediatric Orthopaedic hospitals in the USA in 2017. He is also on the editorial board of the International Journal of Paediatric Orthopaedics (IJPO).
He presently works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Paediatric Orthopaedic Unit of NOHIL.
He is the current Assistant Secretary of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society of Nigeria(LLRSN) and member of the Nigerian Orthopaedic Association(NOA). He is also an international member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), SIGN Fracture Care International and International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SICOT).
